  OPTIMAL THERMODYNAMIC DESIGN OF TURBOFAN ENGINES USING MULTI-OBJECTIVE GENETIC ALGORITHM

Abstract    The aim of this study is to optimize performance functions of turbofan engines considering the off-design model of turbofan engine as well as employing multi-objective genetic algorithm. The design variables including high-pressure compressor pressure ratio, low-pressure compressor pressure ratio, fan pressure ratio and bypass ratio are calculated in such a way that the corresponding functions of specific thrust at take-off, as well as thrust specific fuel consumption, propulsive, thermal, and overall efficiencies while cruising are at their best performance conditions. The optimization is done using the modified NSGA II which is among the best multi-objective genetic algorithm methods. The obtained results of Multi-objective optimization will be a set of vectors among from which the designer may choose one depending on the conditions. The study of off-design model of turbofan engine is the significance of this study which has not been considered in similar studies.

چکیده    در این مقاله با استفاده از الگوریتم ژنتیک چند هدفی، مدل خارج ترمودینامیکی خارج از نقطه طراحی موتور توربوفن مورد بررسی قرار گرفته و توابع عملکردی موتور توربوفن بهینه میشوند. متغییرهای طراحی که شامل نسبت فشارهای کمپرسور پرفشار،کمپرسورکمفشار، فن ونسبت کنار گذر میباشند، به گونه ای بدست میآیند که به ازای این مقادیر تمامی توابع ترمودینامیکی موتور توربوفن از قبیل تابع رانش ویژه درهنگام برخواست و همچنین تابع مصرف ویژه سوخت و توابع راندمانهای رانش، حرارتی وکلی در هنگام پروازدرارتفاع، دربهترین شرایط عملکردی باشند.این بهینه سازی توسط روش تصحیح شدهNSGAII انجام میپذیرد که از بهترین روشهای الگوریتم ژنتیک چند هدفی میباشد. نتایج حاصل از بهینه سازی چند هدفی شامل مجموعه ای از بردارهای جواب میباشد که طراح با توجه به شرایط مورد نظر میتواند یکی از بردارهای طراحی را انتخاب نماید. بررسی مدل خارج از نقطه طراحی موتور توربوفن نیز از ویژگیهای مقاله موجود میباشد که در کارهای مشابه بدان پرداخته نشده است.
